KeithARC
Keith ARC has two main missions as a musician and songwriter; entertain people and explore the weird, wicked and wonderful world of human nature. Based in Staten Island NY, he has spent years developing a unique and distinct style of keyboard playing. Piano is his first love and it's on that instrument that he has most refined his style. Most of his songs were written on the same piano he's had since childhood, an old Baldwin compact that hasn't been manufactured for years.
The New CD/DVD titled simply "A/V" is the culmination of two years of effort and work. It was recorded and filmed live without an audience and then overdubbed with drums, guitars and additional keyboards to make the CD. The DVD is acoustic and is presented exactly the way it was filmed and recorded on Oct 1, 2005.
Doug (grandpepper) Principato plays all the guitar and bass tracks and also recorded and mixed the music for the CD and DVD. Doug has been playing in the NYC scene for many years. He is currently the guitarist in Ari Up and the True Warriors, a band fronted by the famous lead singer of the original all girl punk-reggae band; the Slits. He's gotten to tour Europe for the past several summers and also toured Japan. He is also currently involved in the fantastic free jazz band "Earth People" as well as playing in an ebow quartet and working on a solo CD.
Peaceful Jon Slackman plays all the hand drums (both live and in studio) and plays drums on "Hunting." He synced the audio to the video and also edited the entire DVD and did a fantastic job piecing it together. While they were together he was the percussionist in perhaps the greatest band no one has heard of, the "Future Chicken Farmers."
Joe Bedford plays all the drums except on "Hunting" and did a fantastic job syncing himself to songs that were already completely fixed. He really had to listen to subtle changes in tempo and time in order to nail the tracks and nail them he did.
There is great deal of passion and excitement on this new CD and the result is now available for everyone to hear.
